Our work

What we do

Butterfly Circle brings together support, education and connection, so no one has to find their way alone.

Rather than short-term help alone, we're working towards a continuum of care. This means ongoing, community-based support that meets people where they are and stays with them over time.

These are the areas of support Butterfly Circle is being developed around. Programs and availability will grow as the organisation establishes its partnerships and services.

A continuum of care

We aim to fill the gap, once crisis services end; and your life begins.

Support that continues

Staying alongside people after crisis

These areas are about staying connected and helping people find their footing.

After-crisis support

Ongoing, non-clinical support once immediate crisis services have ended, so people are not left on their own.

Outreach

Gently reaching people who may feel isolated, disconnected or hard to reach.

Systems navigation

Practical help to find, understand and move through services and supports.

Connection and community

Rebuilding belonging and trust

Recovery is easier alongside other people. These areas help rebuild the belonging, confidence and connection that crisis can erode.

Peer-led groups

Groups grounded in shared, lived experience, where people support one another.

Social connection

Spaces and activities that help people rebuild belonging, confidence and trust.

Community events

Welcoming gatherings that bring people together and reduce isolation.

Growth, learning and change

Moving forward, together

Longer-term change involves both people and the systems around them. These areas focus on wellbeing, understanding and fairer support.

Recovery-focused programs

Community programs informed by research and social science, focused on wellbeing over time.

Education

Learning that helps people, families and workplaces understand trauma and recovery.

Advocacy

Standing alongside people and speaking up for fairer, more inclusive systems.
