What we collect

When you contact Butterfly Circle or sign up for updates, we may receive information you provide such as your name, email address and the details you include in your message or form response. You never have to share more than you're comfortable with.

How we use it

We use your details to stay in touch about Butterfly Circle: updates about community activities, resources, program news and ways to get involved as we develop. We also use it to respond to enquiries you send us.

If you reach out for support

Anything you tell us about your situation is kept confidential and seen only by the people supporting you. We will only share it if you agree, if the law requires it, or if someone's safety is at serious risk.

Sensitive information

Sharing details like accessibility needs, pronouns, cultural background or gender identity is always your choice. If you do, we use them only to make our support and activities safe and accessible for you.

Signup forms and service providers

Our community signup form is hosted using Microsoft Forms, and information submitted through that form is processed using Microsoft's service. Butterfly Circle uses that information to manage signups and community communications. As with most online tools, third-party providers may process information as part of providing their service. We do not sell your personal information.

What we never do

We never sell, rent or trade your personal information. We don't share it with third parties for their own marketing, and we only ever use it for the purposes described here.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to store your information securely and to limit access to it. Where we use services such as Microsoft Forms to help us collect signups or send updates, we share only what's needed for that purpose.

If something goes wrong

If your information is involved in a data breach that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will tell you, and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where required.

Website analytics and settings

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page visits. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't identify you.

Your display and accessibility choices (theme, text size, easy-read font and reduce motion) are saved only in your browser, on your device, so they're remembered next time. You can clear them with "Reset to default" or by clearing your browser data.

Your choices

You're always in control. You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe from updates at any time using the link in our emails or by contacting us directly. We will respond to requests to see, correct or delete your information within 30 days.
